The Belmont Stakes Festival started on a high note with a Grade 1 double on Friday, June 5, for Team Casse. It was a memorable day for the team, showcasing two outstanding performances on one of racing’s biggest stages.
Counting Stars earned us back-to-back G1 Acorn wins with a dominant victory to stamp herself as one of the top 3-year-old fillies in the country. She was expertly ridden to victory by Irad Ortiz Jr. for West Point Thoroughbreds.
Nitrogen cemented herself at the top of her division with an emphatic win in the G1 Ogden Phipps. Ridden by Jose Ortiz for DJ Stable, she delivered another commanding performance and added another Graded win to her impressive resume.
