CASSE RACING AFTERCARE
We take pride in our trainees both for their success on the track and for the meaningful careers they begin after they are retired from racing. Aftercare is incredibly important to us. Our racehorses give us their all, and while not every horse becomes a superstar on the track, each horse deserves a safe and well-supported life once their racing career ends. We are grateful that our owners share our commitment to responsible aftercare and the importance of giving every horse a meaningful second chapter.
We currently have about 15 retired Casse trainees who will live out the rest of their lives at the Casse Training Center. Several of them have transitioned into new roles as track ponies, including GSW and Kentucky Derby starter HELIUM, stakes winner and Breeders’ Cup starter PROVEN STRATEGIES, and Grade 1-placed DOLDER GRAND.
To highlight what our retired racehorses are doing today, we feature them in our #OTTBTuesday spotlight posts, where we share their journeys and celebrate the many paths they can take. We love seeing our horses thrive in whatever they do next, whether that means as an eventer, a show jumper, a trail partner, or a beloved paddock mate.
